I wish that my dog could tell me if this gives her pain relief. That is just a guess - but I can say it was easy and gentle to apply. She is 12 and her gums bleed easily and her breath was awful. Her breath improves with this. There was barely any color change on the gentle finger swap. When I use a tooth brush or a bristles finger cover her guns bleed more. This is much more gentle. The fingers swabs are very snug, though. I am a female with a size 8 ring and I don't think it would fit bigger hands than mine. Overall good value and an easy way to try to help your older dogs.

I can't rate the effectiveness, because my cat is not being cooperative. The vet recommended cleaning my cat's teeth as there is beginning to be some build up. This cleaner comes in an easy to dispense tube with disposable wipes for application. My cat was unimpressed and I had to chase him around and force his mouth open. I wish it had a scent or flavor that was more appealing, but perhaps then it wouldn't be effective at teeth cleaning. I also wish the application wipes were reusable rather than disposable. There is no way they will last as long as the tube and I will have to use just my finger. A silicone brush like an infant tooth brush would have been nice. Time will tell whether or not I can get my cat to be more cooperative. Even if it doesn't work out, at least I can tell the vet that I tried. It will ease my mind that I did my best to follow his advice.

I'm ashamed to admit that I'm not one of these dog owners who brushes their dog's teeth regularly. (I may get to it once a week or so.) And she definitely needs to go in for a dental. I have used doggy toothpaste and various doggie toothbrushes, but I do find these finger applicators to be easier to use, and my dog is much more amenable to me putting a finger in her mouth than a brush, and this comes with a lot of generously sized finger applicators. I have not yet used this regularly enough to see how much of a difference it will make, but the gel is easy to apply, and my dog seems not to mind it. As she has some gum bleeding, I do feel confident using the hypochlorous acid. I'm going to try to do this regularly and see how it works, but it's definitely easier to use and more tolerated by my dog than traditional doggie toothpaste and a toothbrush and less messy.

I love the simplicity of this gel pet toothpaste... just Hypochlorous Acid (0.015%), Deionized water, and Pectin!! Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is a natural and safe ingredient that works "by destroying bacteria to reduce plaque, tartar, bad breath, and gum disease." Deionized water is just water without minerals. Pectin is a natural fiber, found from apples, so I'm not sure of it's role here, maybe to form the gel?? But I feel safe using this on my cats and dog, I'd use it on myself if I needed it. It's a nice relief to not see questionable ingredients in pet dental care. But my cats and dog all get this as much as I can remember. The cats are dramatic and lick lick lick but the dog just goes about her day after I put it on. I feel all of their breath is a tad better and the tarter seems to be improving, but the tube isn't empty yet and I'll reevaluate then. As for whitening, I wasn't really using it to give them pearly whites, so I haven't been paying attention!! My dog unfortunately, had to have some teeth pulled, so I was looking for something that would be gentle, but would help clean her teeth. I ordered this as it seemed to be a good fit.. The packaging, the tube, and the enclosed finger wipes all seem to be very good quality. I especially appreciate the unique easy to dispense tip on the tube . I was able to put it on my dogs teeth and gums with no problem. There was no smell to it and the consistency reminds me of arnica jel. When my dog had her surgery, they cleaned all of her teeth, so now I'm more using this as a preventative measure. She's just really prone to tooth infection infections so I'm really hopeful this will help. So far so good.. Based on my experiences with this, value considerations ($14.99 at the time of order), and how I rate, this earns: 4 Stars C Performs or is as described. I will update this review if I notice any changes or I have any additional information to add based on continued use.

This tiny bottle of HICC Pet oral repair gel is incredibly powerful stuff! I decided to get this because my 15 year old pomchi has recently been having teeth issues. She's lost a few of them and her breath is getting worse as she matures in age. I thought it was passed the point of no return when it came to finding a remedy to help alleviate her plaque and bad breath, but this pain relieving and teeth cleansing product proved me wrong. The gel itself is easy to apply. The instructions state you can use a clean finger or the disposable finger covers that come with the product. I love that they included the disposable covers, but my dog's mouth is petite so a clean finger ends up being the easier method. I apply the gel directly to her affected teeth and gums without rinsing it off. It doesn't seem to have a taste as she doesn't mind it too much. Within a few weeks of daily use her breath is already substantially better. I am quite pleased with these results and expect it to continue improving as we continue utilizing HICC Pet's oral repair gel. Overall HICC Pet is a great brand with a good reputation for using safe and natural ingredients to care for your pets. I did some research prior to using this product, combined with my experience actually using it, and I feel very good putting my trust in them. My dog is more than a dog, she is an integral part of my family so I am extremely careful about the products I choose to use on her. Not only is the HICC Pet oral repair gel safe to use, but it is very effective. I wholeheartedly recommend this brand and product to anyone looking for a solution to expand the quality of their pet's life and protect their oral health.

All of my cats that I've tried this with have really liked the flavor of the toothpaste, like they want to eat it! The toothpaste is clear and a little goes a long way. The disposable tooth wipes that fit onto your fingers are great, but not enough of them are included and I wish they had just included a silicone, reusable brush. The paste will far outlast the amount of finger wipes included, I think. Other than that, these are easy enough to use, IF your cat will let you get into their mouth, which is the hardest part. There's a good chance your finger may get bit! Another reason a more typical brush or something more substantial than disposable wipes would be a better choice.
